XRCE and INRIA win 2013 International Challenge on Fine-Grained classification FGComp.
Using the Xerox patented Fisher Vector descriptors invented by the XRCE Computer Vision team, this competition was won in collaboration with the French National Institute in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (INRIA ).
The winners have been invited to present their methodology at the ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge 2013 (ILSVRC2013) Workshop, part of the world premier conference in vision, the International Conference on Computer vision on December 7th (ICCV 2013 ) in Sydney Australia.
The method developed by XRCE is being applied in innovative solutions in the Xerox Transportation , Retail and Document Management business.
