, Data Intelligence Transfer manager: "Latest innovations for intelligent and integrated urban mobility".
A growing number of the world population lives in urban areas and mobility is a key domain where large cities compete with each other to be attractive places for investment and attractive places to live. Thanks to new technologies and new people behaviors the current model of mobility (private car vs public transit) can be reinvented into a model of multimodal mobility as a service. Within the last few years many new services and transportation modes have emerged. This presentation aims at illustrating with concrete examples how the outcome of research can be used to create innovative intelligent tools that will both enable travelers to coordinate all these services in a seamless and optimal way and enable transportation authorities to plan urban mobility, in a more efficient and sustainable way, in this new world.
