Albert Gordo

I am a research scientist at the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE) in the Computer Vision group. My research is focused on machine learning and computer vision, currently with a special interest in large-scale image retrieval, document image representation and understanding, and text recognition and understanding in the wild.

Short bio:

I joined XRCE in 2014 first as a postdoc researcher and soon after as a permanent researcher. Before that, from 2012 to 2014 I was a postdoc at the LEAR group in INRIA Grenoble, working on large-scale object detection with Cordelia Schmid . From 2008 to 2012 I was a PhD student at the Computer Vision Center in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, working on the problem of large-scale document image representation and retrieval, already in collaboration with the Computer Vision group at XRCE, and supervised by Ernest Valveny and Florent Perronnin .

A list of publications while I have been at XRCE can be found here.
