Mario Jarmasz

Mario is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the XRCE Innovation Studio, an innovation showcase which allows Xerox research laboratories from around the world to demonstrate their innovative ideas in a professional, "hands-on" environment. Mario facilitates “Dreaming Sessions” where customers and prospects are invited to share their top challenges with Xerox researchers working on the cutting edge of technology. He joined the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE) Technology Showroom in Grenoble, France, in early 2006 and has been managing the Showroom since April 2012.

Mario creates customized experiences for C-Level clients to help Xerox drive revenue by identifying and addressing unmet client needs. He has also overseen the development of research demos using new technologies, including patient-centric healthcare applications, novel user interfaces for image categorization and retrieval, and cross-language text analytics systems.

Mario holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa and specialises in Natural Language Processing. Before joining XRCE, Mario worked for the prestigious Language Technologies Research Centre in Canada where he was involved in several projects encompassing cross-language information retrieval, terminology extraction, sentiment analysis and machine translation.
