Michel joined Xerox Research Centre Europe in 1994. Prior to leading the Document Content Lab in January 2011, Michel managed the Advanced Development Lab at XRCE. Before joining Xerox, Michel taught computer science at the ENS Lyon.
Michel received a Master's degree in applied mathematics from Grenoble University in 1989, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Ecole Normale Superieure of Lyon in 1993, with a thesis on parallel algorithms and data structures.
