Jose A Rodriguez-Serrano

Jose is a Research Scientist at the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE), in the Computer Vision group. His research interests are the application of computer vision and machine learning techniques to transportation and document analysis applications. He has a strong interest in textual images, video analysis, sequential data and image retrieval.

Short bio

Jose A. Rodriguez-Serrano graduated in Physics in 2003 at the Universitat de Barcelona and received his Master in Computer Vision in 2006 from the Computer Vision Center (CVC) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2009 he completed his Ph.D. thesis done in collaboration with XRCE, where he spent 21 months on a project aimed at detecting words in business correspondence. After his thesis, he worked as a Research Associate at Loughborough University, UK (2008-2009), and as a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds (2009-2010), working in projects on video analysis for transportation and event analysis. In November 2010 he joined XRCE as a Research Scientist.
