Matthias Galle
I am a Research Scientist at the Machine Learning for Document Access and Translation (MLDAT) at the Xerox Research Centre Europe. My research interest lies in information retrieval and modelling.

Research

Currently I am working on event detection in news articles, and associated similarity metrics and clustering algorithms. Most of this is done in collaboration with Jean-Michel Renders, in the framework of the EU project SYNC3.

Another project I am involved with (together with Jean-Marc Andreoli and Cedric Archambeau) is related to topic models and trend detection.
