Guillaume Jacquet

I'm currently working in the Parsing and Semantics area at XRCE.

I have a PhD in Cognitive Science with a specialisation in Computational Linguistics from the EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales), Paris, France. This PhD was done within the Lattice Laboratory (CNRS-ENS) and my supervisor was Bernard Victorri.

RESEARCH

My research topics are related to semantic information extraction. I work on distributional approaches, LSA and hybrid methods (combining symbolic and statistic methods.

Part of my current work is on named entity extraction for the national project Infomagic which is part of the "pôle de compétitivité" CAP DIGITAL.

Named Entities (person, organization, location, date, etc) are linguistic units that promote an important part of the sense and the information relative to a text.
