Stand-alone Encoding of Document History
This paper describes an approach to encapsulate together an XML document and its history (i.e. the various significant states it adopted along its life cycle) into a single standalone XML document. Our proposal introduces an XML data model suited to capture versioning information combined with an operational model to handle such encapsulated data. We describe basic operators involved along the transformation process of the document/history pair, mainly designed around the principle of maintaining coherence properties.
