This research area addresses issues related to Document Structure and especially XML documents. It aims at capturing novel document concepts along three major themes:
- Document understanding and processing: methods and technologies to analyse document collections and compute information relevant to domain-specific contexts of use.
- Document network understanding: methods and technologies to process and measure large collections of inter-linked documents in various social networks and to discover different interactions, patterns and trends involving their actors and communities.
- Qualification: methods and technologies to qualify XML resources in distributed/collective ecosystems
The research team has been involved in many collaborative and open innovation activities. At the moment, they are a member of the SHAMAN integrated project co-funded by the European Union, and focusing on digital preservation.
