Jean-Pierre Chanod

Jean-Pierre Chanod is the Enterprise Architecture area manager at the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE). He joined XRCE in 1993, where he held previous positions as Area Manager for Parsing & Semantics and senior scientist.

His main research interests range from document processing and natural language processing to semantics and process modeling.

Jean-Pierre Chanod has been involved in a number of international research collaborations, in Europe and Asia, especially for the development of multilingual resources. He contributed to a number of French national projects and EU-funded projects such as TwentyOne, Elsnet, Elsnet-Goes-East, STEEL, and the integrated projects VIKEF and SHAMAN.

Before joining XRCE in 1993, Jean-Pierre Chanod was project leader at the IBM Paris scientific centre. Jean-Pierre graduated from Ecole normale supérieure (mathematics) in 1980.
