Arabic Morphological Analysis and Generation

Yarb Font

The Xerox Java applets that render Arabic script use the public domain "Yarb" font by Yannis Haralambous. My sincere thanks to him for his work and for his encouragement of the morphology project.

The metafont Yarb description was used to generate Arabic-glyph bitmaps that were then converted into Java data structures. The font was also augmented manually by myself to include glyphs for waSla-on-'alif and for the dagger 'alif.
