XRCE is coordinator of a new EU project: CACAO - Cross language Access to Catalogues And Online libraries CACAO offers an innovative approach to accessing, understanding and navigating multilingual textual content in digital libraries and Online Public Access Catalogues (OPACs). The CACAO cross-language platform will enable users to enter queries in their own languages to search a large, multilingual online catalogue and retrieve documents in any of the languages available. The project, which is the joint effort of partners libraries and technical partners in natural language processing, aims to enhance the multilingual capabilities of online digital libraries.
