Xerox Research Centre Europe I hold a Ph.D in Computer Science from the Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France. I was then member of the Sherpa project of INRIA Rhone-Alpes in Grenoble. In 1995 I held an industrial post doctoral fellowship from INRIA and the company ILOG in Paris. In 1996 I joined XRCE. After some time spent with knowledge management,
middleware, and contextual computing, I moved to the Image Processing
(now Visual
Content) research area where I worked on topics like image categorization
and automatic image enhancement.
