Technology Showroom (XRCE) strives to be the bridge between research and Industry. We meet the business objectives of Xerox by providing a platform where emerging technologies are demonstrated in practical business applications to interested customers.
We believe that technology is for everyone and hence technology should be communicated in a way that everyone understands it crystal clear-right from an expert to someone who has no prior experience in this field.
The Showroom has a three fold mission:
- To actively support customer led innovation
- To showcase Xerox research activities to customers and staff customized in the best possible way
- To monitor reactions and feedbacks to new ideas which would pave way for future research
Road to Future:
Xerox’s thirst for technology is far from being quenched. Some of the key researches in the past few decades which have been instrumental in the technological infrastructure are the result of consistent world renowned research in the different research centers of Xerox. Noteworthy are the innovations in computing such as windows interfaces, the computer mouse and local area networking. The Technology Showroom provides the first opportunity to customers to see those ideas that will change the face of technology in the 21st Century and beyond.
Technology in context
We have a very diverse portfolio of customers visiting our showroom. They bring along their expertise and share their experience in their respective domains which can be as different as oil and gas sector to universities. We are here to cater to the problems of everyone and to propose possible solutions with the help of our expertise. The Showroom’s multilingual team gives demonstrations to a wide range of visitors from all over the globe. Customers, prospects and the press constitute the major part of the audience. Xerox’s customers gain confidence from seeing new ideas in practice and encouragement to work with Xerox as a long-term technology partner.
Close contact with ideas
During a typical one day visit, the Showroom hosts a group of six to ten people to give them a close-up of the technology and see how it relates to their own needs. Special events can also be organized on demand. Visitors can also take advantage of the facilities at the chateau – including a conference room and a comfortable and relaxing "Bistro" area. Every event is professionally planned and coordinated, and followed up with a formal evaluation.
