The web portal is a gateway to evaluate and use XRCE prototype technologies and components in the pipeline. You can do this in two ways:

1: using a web browser
2: from a client program using a web services protocol

Examples of some of the technologies currently available are 'Image categorization', 'Text summarizer', 'CopyFinder' and 'XML document converter'.

The portal was created so that Xerox business groups and external customers can more easily identify through prototype testing, those technology components that would fill an important gap in their solutions or business processes. It can also be used to experiment with early versions of software and provide feedback for further development in a specific application or industry.
